Do-More ALDEV - Deviation Alarm Positive Negative

73 views Feb 23, 2023

The Deviation Alarm instruction (ALDEV) monitors the input and turns the selected positive or negative alarm bits ON. The alarm bits activate based on when they exceed the deviation limit from the set point input. When the PLC rung does not have power flow, both Alarm bits are turned OFF. In our example, the input is the first analog, and the set point comes from the second analog input. Our deviation limit is set to a constant value of 100. The negative alarm will turn ON if our input is less than the set point minus the deviation. The positive alarm will turn ON if our input exceeds the set point plus the deviation. Programming and examples of the BRX Do-More series can be found at this URL: https://accautomation.ca/series/brx-do-more-plc/ There are several reasons why we are using the BRX Do-More Controller. Here are just a few. – Standalone PLC with built-in I/O – Built-in Data Logging – Communication ability – Ethernet Port, RS232, RS485, USB – support for protocols such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, ASCII, K-sequence (DirectLOGIC users), Custom Protocols (ASCII over serial, TCP or UDP over Ethernet) – Built-in Analog input and output – Integrated motion control – High-speed counters – Powerful instruction set (Video of Instructions in software) – Ability to expand the system with a variety of modules – Part of the Do-More series of PLCs uses the same free software.
