BRX Do-More PLC Analog Output Scaling

The BRX Do-More PLC analog outputs can have up to a 16-bit resolution depending on the analog current or voltage signal. These support a wide range of analog signals. The Do-More Designer Software has a linear scaling feature built in so that you can quickly convert your engineering units or a percentage to an analog signal. Our analog input of 0 to 10VDC converted from 0 to 100.0 percent. Select the analog output tab on the setup BRX onboard analog window. Our analog output of 0 to 10VDC has the scaling enabled from RY0 to WY0. This will set it as a value from 0 to 100.0. This represents a percentage. Using the analog signal generator, you can see that our 0 to 10 volts DC signal convert from 0 to 100.0 percent. This percent is then copied to the destination percent. Our ladder logic program will use the compare instruction to activate outputs based on this linearly scaled input signal. The ladder will also copy this percentage into our destination for the analog output. We can see this voltage output on our multimeter.
